Wellness Wednesday - Challenge Check-in

(MR) So it's been a week since I started my October challenges.  Thought I'd let do a little update on how it's going.

The Ultimate Blogging Challenge has been a lot of fun.  I've been posting every day and connecting with other bloggers too.

The health and fitness challenges are going great too!
  • 10 minutes of "me time" - this one was pretty easy for me.  I've altered it slightly to become 10 minutes of devotional/Bible time.  It's a great way to keep on track in that area of my life.
  • 8 Glasses of Water a Day - I'm finding this one pretty easy.  Mostly because I have this large cup with a straw.  This helps me to drink more, drink faster, and not worry about the cold water bothering my sensitive teeth.
  • 20 minutes of physical activity - a little trickier.  Usually it ends up being playing/raking with the kids - not an actual workout or anything.
  • Fruits & Veggies - 5 servings:  This one is also a little tough, but I've found that if I start early enough in the day, it can work.  It also fills me up so I'm not as tempted to snack on junk!
  • Pushups:  I'm up to 35 a day, in 2-3 chunks.  I can do 15 real ones at a time - I'm really proud of myself.
  • Squats: 35 also, and they're going fine.  120 will be a lot, but for now, it's pretty easy.
It's also been great doing this challenge with others.  There are some teachers, some Facebook friends, and some through email - all doing the same, and all keeping me on track!  Not to mention anyone who is reading this - thanks!

Are you challenging yourself with anything?  The best way is to do it with someone else!  You can do it!

If you're interested in the challenge, check out my first post, or email me for PDF files to print out.
