So I tried it - I like soaking my feet, and I had a half bottle of Listerine from a long time ago (we never use it). It felt nice and cool, kind of minty and tingly. I didn't notice, though, that the skin came right off my feet - I still had to scrub with the pumice stone.
What I did notice, though, was that my feet turned blue!! Not just a little bit, but quite blue! To the point that I couldn't wear sandals the next day! I scrubbed them a bit, and it took some work to get them clean.
Two things I learned from this:
- Don't soak your feet in Listerine. They'll turn blue!
- If it turned my feet blue, what would it do to my teeth?! Don't use Listerine!
I want to see a picture of your blue feet!! :D
ReplyDeleteI know - I should have taken a picture. I was on my way out the door in the morning for work when I realized that I couldn't wear my sandals! It looked pretty bad!
DeleteI TRIED THIS BUT USED THE ORIGINAL LISTERINE, IT DID NOT WORK AS WELL AS THEY SAID. MY FEET DID NOT TURN A DIFFERENT COLOR. USE THE ORIGINAL.
DeleteSee, maybe I should have tried the original! :) But I agree, that it didn't work as well as they said!
Deletehaha that is funny! I tried a recipe the other day that did not turn out at all like I thought it would, it was a recipe for quinoa cheese (like mac and cheese but with quinoa instead of macaroni).
ReplyDeleteSo the quinoa mac and cheese is no good? Thanks for the heads up - it's on my list to try!
DeleteWow... I wanted to try this too! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI used blue Crest and it worked just fine! Different brands so it is probably a different dilution of the blue dye in the Crest. For anyone who wants to try it with Crest though my feet were fine.
ReplyDeleteJust put petroleum jelly on your feet cover with socks overnight and you'll see a big difference in a few days!
ReplyDeleteThe suggestion is to use 1 part listerine mouthwash, 1 part vinegar and 1 part water. I've also uses generic mouthwash and it does work.
