I love small decorative Christmas trees. I think I was first inspired by my sister-in-law, who had a gorgeous collection of unique and creative trees. I started to collect a few here and there, mostly on clearance. I'll share a picture once I've got my decorations out - I'm pretty pleased with my collection.
I love the idea of making some, though. And they are so simple to make! Take a look at some of my favourite ideas!
These beautiful blue ones from Craft-o-Maniac
Or this great Coffee Filter Tree from Crafts By Amanda
And these great paper circles make a beautiful tree from Just Imagine
I can't wait to try out these cardboard cut-out trees from You Are My Fave. They look so simple, and they'd look great clustered in a corner. They're pretty kid-friendly too (nothing breakable)!
This Oragami one looks great (not so sure about the instructions - they seem to be in another language, but a neat idea!)
These simple wooden ones are from an Etsy seller - Elephant Trading Company, but you could also use the inspiration to make your own.
These ribbon and lace ones are so pretty, from The Country Chic Cottage

I just love these Twine Christmas Trees from Lemon Tree Creations - again, so simple and so beautiful!
Hey! Am I that "sister-in-law?!?" I do love my collection but I do not have any that I have made myself in the collection - I might try the white one on the glass candlestick holder - pretty with great height.
ReplyDeleteYes, you are! My inspiration! :) That white one is nice, and I like the candlestick holder. I'd love to share a picture of your collection on the blog, if you don't mind!
