Shopping in VIP Style this Christmas Season

Whether you love Christmas shopping or not, most of us still need to get out of the house and do some.  I usually go first thing in the morning to avoid the crowds.  I took my two youngest to Yorkdale Mall this year.

What a wonderful experience - such a beautiful mall to browse in.  From the sparkly ceiling decorations to the giant tree decorated with Swarovski crystals. 

The boys loved looking at all the decorations.  They also loved the escalators, which we had to ride up and down a few times.

After a few hours of shopping, we needed a bit of down time.  We had the privilege of being "Avioners For the Day".  We had access to the RBC Avion Holiday Boutique, complete with coat/parcel check, and gift wrapping.

What an elegant experience!  A white baby grand piano, and another Christmas tree filled with Swarovski crystals!

We checked our coats, and the helpful staff made some delicious (complimentary) hot chocolate for the boys, who got to sit on fun tall chairs!

I enjoyed a complimentary Tassimo coffee from Second Cup, along with some butter shortbread.

The boys headed to the comfy chairs, where they found some kids' Christmas books.  Everyone loves The Grinch!

It was so nice to relax and be taken care of for a while, and a great change of scenery for the boys. Their favourite part was drinking from a grownup coffee cup, and being treated like adults - so fun.

 

And the best part is that it is all free, if you have an RBC Avion card.  If not, there small fees for each service. I don't know of any other credit card that offers that kind of service to its customers.
