Dollarama Deal

Just a quick post today, sharing a great find at the dollar store.

If you know me (Marya) you'd know that I love the store Dollarama.  I love being able to go in, buy a few things, and not have spent much money.  These days, though, they've been getting more $2 and $3 items, which means that you can easily spend a lot more money.  But if you look closely at these items, you'll find that a lot of them are great deals - often stock that has come from other stores (even with the label and price tag still on).

I happened to stop in yesterday, and I always take a peek for their Christmas stuff (please don't judge me - I get very excited when I see stores start with their Christmas items).  I found the cutest little "wristlets" (or fingerless gloves) for 3 dollars, and I love them!!

   I had found something very similar to this on Pinterest that I was going to crochet, and never got around to it.  These are great for driving or for doing anything a little more precise.  I may also wear them around the house since I'm always cold.  I also like the idea for when I'm playing piano - they keep most of my hands warm.

The only thing is the fur around the ends.  I think it could be kind of fun, but practically speaking, it would get in the way, and it would get worn rather quickly.  It would also look a bit flashy for me.  So I used a seam ripper and carefully undid the stitches where the fur was sewn on.  It came off really easily, and look how much better it looks!  Some of the edges look a little uneven - I may zig-zag along them with my sewing machine to make sure they don't unravel, but I'm really happy with them!
