Another quick post on a rainy day. We just moved into a new house about 5 months ago. We had such a tiny entry way in our other house, so I was thrilled to have more space here! The only problem is that there are no coat closets or any sort of closets on the main floor. So for the first few months here, we were pretty disorganized. But we recently bought that great hall bench from Canadian Tire. The baskets are actually wooden drawers, so they are big and sturdy. I figure we can store hats there in the summer, and in the winter it'll be great for mittens, hats and scarves.
There's even space for our little puppy's dishes, off to the side!
Now just to keep it organized, so I can enjoy it!
Very nice!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to add something like this in our mud room.
Thank you for sharing this.

No problem! Thanks for coming by!
DeleteThat looks great! I wonder if I could train my kids to put their things away so it looks like that when they come in from school.
ReplyDeleteThat's my goal too! :) Here's hoping...
DeleteThat is really cute. When our big tv dies and I buy one to mount above the fireplace I will turn our area by the door into this type of space. Thank you for the idea.
ReplyDeleteWe're looking forward to our big TV dying too! :)
DeleteLooks great Marya! I find it hard to keep everything organized in our entry area too, especially when winter hits, and we have 6 people with stuff for the barn and for "good". :)
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to find what works best. I really wanted something with four drawers or cubbies, but I really liked this one. So no one actually has their own drawers. There are some great pinterest ideas, but I'm not handy (neither is Eric!) :)
DeleteFunny thing about the space for the bench. For taking the picture, I centred it under the 6 hooks on the wall. But because of the front door opening, I actually have it further to the right, and it kind of bugs me that it couldn't actually fit centred under the hooks... :)
