Crusty Bread (re-post)

As the temperatures are getting cooler, I am loving these warm fall recipes (especially the ones that require me to turn on the oven, since I'm not turning on the furnace yet...).  So along with supper tonight, we're  having this crusty bread that I posted last year. It is so easy to make, takes only 3 ingredients - flour, salt and yeast, and tastes amazing!

You mix the ingredients by hand (but to make it even easier, I threw it into my KitchenAid mixer).  Let it sit 12-18 hours, then bake at a very high temperature, 450, creating the most amazing crust.  The bread itself looks like this fancy artisan bread, and you can do all kinds of variations.  I loved adding dried cranberries and walnuts.  I think tonight I'll add some cheddar cheese and some herbs.

Head over here for the original recipe.
