Good morning! This is a quick & simple post today, but this was just such a handy thing that I discovered last week that I had to share it with you!
Last week, we took a trip to upstate New York to a cottage on Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes District. It was just for 3 nights, but it was fun, and exciting to get away for a mini vacation with the kids! I wanted to bring some laundry detergent in the unlikely event of the 3 extra changes of clothes for the kids got dragged through the mud, but I didn't feel that it was necessary to bring along the large, 185 load container. That would have been overkill.
So, while digging through the tupperware cupboard, I came across a couple formula dispensers from bygone days - perfect! The dispensers were separated into three compartments, and while none of the compartments was watertight, the walls went up to the lid, so as long as I kept the container upright, I'd have equal amounts of pre-measured laundry detergent! It worked great - the container itself was watertight (just the compartments that weren't), and the handy snap spout on top made dispensing the detergent easy, quick, & hassle and mess free!
If you don't have a formula dispenser kicking around the house, you can usually stop by a mom to mom sale and pick one up for $0.25 - $2.
Great idea! I kept mine for a few years just in case, and just tossed a few weeks ago...
